Mr. Jackson is a Principal at Keystone, and is focused on creating value for investors within Keystone’s real estate focused transactions. He serves as co-Portfolio Manager of KREIT, and is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Keystone, Mr. Jackson most recently worked for 14 years in the real estate group of Nearon Enterprises located in the San Francisco Bay Area. There Mr. Jackson was responsible for all aspects of real estate investment, including acquisitions, debt sourcing, investment due diligence, leasing, asset management, and asset disposition. Mr. Jackson was also directly responsible for the investment and development of a 1.5 million square foot portfolio of Industrial, Office, Retail, and Multifamily assets in the San Francisco Bay Area and Salt Lake City markets. Mr. Jackson earned his B.S. in Accounting at Brigham Young University, and his M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
Mr. Nielson is a Principal at Keystone, and is responsible for various aspects of Keystone’s due diligence, structuring, and legal review on real estate related investments. Mr. Nielson serves as co-Portfolio Manager of KREIT, and is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Prior to joining Keystone in September 2015, Mr. Nielson was General Counsel and Director of Acquisitions for a large family office. There Mr. Nielson managed real estate and private equity investments, including the acquisition of distressed loan portfolios, commercial real estate assets, and other investments. He holds a J.D. from California Western School of Law, and a B.S. degree from the University of Utah.
Mr. Clifford is an Investment Associate at Keystone. Mr. Clifford is responsible for various aspects of Keystone’s due diligence and investment underwriting on real estate related investments. Prior to joining Keystone in April 2018, Mr. Clifford was a Manager and Underwriter in the commercial real estate lending group of Zions Bank, having experience lending nationwide in all asset types. Mr. Clifford holds a B.S. degree in Finance with honors from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, where he was captain of the varsity basketball team.
Mr. Williams is a Vice President of Finance at Keystone. He is responsible for various aspects of Keystone’s real estate and real asset investments. Prior to joining Keystone in May 2018, Mr. Williams was a senior manager with Ernst & Young, where he conducted audits on financial service companies, including a large regional commercial bank, as well as various private equity funds. Mr. Williams was also previously a Director of Accounting for a mortgage servicing company and broker/dealer. Mr. Williams is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Williams holds both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University.
Ms. Mattson serves as Keystone’s Operations Manager. Ms. Mattson is active in investor reporting, and other back-office functions. Prior to joining Keystone in April 2013, she worked in the development office of a large university. Ms. Mattson holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Utah State University.
Mr. Nielson is a co-founder of Keystone and a Managing Partner of the firm. Mr. Nielson leads Keystone’s real estate investment efforts including real estate lending, acquisitions, and ground up development across a wide variety of asset classes. Mr. Nielson is active in investment selection, due diligence, and the general management of the firm and is also a voting member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Nielson was previously Managing Director of Regional Investment Partners, a Dallas-based private equity research firm. Mr. Nielson previously served as Vice President of Partners Group, a global alternatives investment manager focused on private equity, private debt, and other alternative investment programs. Prior to Partners Group, Mr. Nielson worked for the accounting firm KPMG and earned his Certified Public Accountants license. Mr. Nielson holds a B.S. in Accounting, as well as an M.B.A. from the Marriott School of Management, both from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Earl is a co-founder of Keystone and a Managing Partner of the firm. Mr. Earl is active in investment selection, due diligence, and the general management of the firm and is also a voting member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Earl was previously a senior investment banker with Lehman Brothers. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he held investment banking and structured finance positions at Dillon, Read & Co. and Credit Suisse. Mr. Earl holds a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law as well as an M.B.A. from the Marriott School of Management, both from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Allen is the Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel at Keystone. Mr. Allen is responsible for Keystone’s accounting and legal affairs. He also oversees the firm’s financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Keystone in August 2010, Mr. Allen was a corporate securities attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California. There Mr. Allen represented public and private companies on corporate governance initiatives, and in a broad range of corporate transactions, including venture capital, private equity investments, secured lending, mergers, acquisitions, and public offerings. Mr. Allen previously managed the financial reporting and accounting affairs of an elite language, technology, and localization service provider. Mr. Allen is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in California, and is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Allen holds a B.S. in Accounting from the Marriott School of Management, as well as a J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law, both from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Cardall is member of Keystone’s bridge lending team and is focused on asset management and investment monitoring. Prior to joining Keystone, Mr. Cardall was the general manager of a multi-million square foot commercial shopping center where he managed capital improvements and daily operations. He also spent over 10 years with CBRE and managed various real estate property operations and improvement projects. Mr. Schwab is a member of the Keysotne bridge lending team and is focused on investment due diligence and underwriting. Prior to joining Keystone, Mr. Schwab was an underwriter in the commercial banking group of a community bank, where he underwrote various real estate and credit loans across all property and business types. He is currently a CFA Exam Level III Candidate. Prior Experience: Alta Bank Education: BA Finance, Temple University
With over 25 years of commercial mortgage experience David brings an in-depth knowledge of real estate issues and loan closings. He has worked for banks and investment banks originating commercial loans throughout the country in all asset classes. His prior position was as an Executive Director with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Throughout his career, David has successfully closed on several billion dollars of debt transactions including CMBS and bridge loans. David also has experience in distressed debt and problem loan situations as an asset manager of loans and assets at the FDIC. Throughout his career he has managed large projects of office, multifamily, retail and mixed use properties. His vast experience as a lender and asset manager provide David with an invaluable perspective of working on commercial mortgages from both a debt and equity perspective. His experience has provided a deep knowledge of problem resolution in all aspects of commercial properties and loan issues.
Mr. Eidelstein launched his career as a founding member of Asset Recovery Group, LLC, a real estate company specializing in providing receivership and distressed asset consulting services on behalf of financial institutions, insurance companies and special servicers. Mr. Eidelstein has been personally responsible for work outs and Receiverships for over a half million square feet of retail, office, multifamily and industrial assets collectively over $100MM in asset value. Mr. Eidelstein became a principal of Universal Realty Services, Inc., a licensed Florida Real Estate Brokerage providing commercial sales, leasing and advisory services for a multitude of asset classes throughout the State of Florida. Universal Realty has transacted over $75 Million in sales and leasing. In 2014, Mr. Eidelstein established Universal Capital, Corp., a licensed Florida Mortgage Brokerage specializing in sourcing private/bridge financing solutions for a wide range of residential, construction and commercial transactions. Since its inception, Universal Capital has originated loan volume in excess of $100 Million. Mr. Eidelstein graduated from The George Washington University School of Business in 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (s) in International Business and Marketing.
